Leading High-Volume Bar Operations
At Boom Battle Bar in Aldgate, I led bar operations in a high-energy, competitive socializing venue. As Bar Supervisor, I was responsible for the smooth running of daily shifts, managing a diverse team of bartenders and floor staff. My role involved creating efficient staff rotas, conducting performance management reviews, and providing ongoing training to ensure service standards remained high.
I took charge of all inventory management, including stock control and ordering. By implementing strict monitoring procedures, I was able to minimize wastage and ensure optimal stock levels were maintained even during the busiest periods.
Customer service was paramount in this role. I handled high-level customer service inquiries and resolved complaints effectively, turning challenging situations into positive outcomes. I also oversaw payment processing and cash handling, ensuring accuracy and security at all times.
Furthermore, I ensured strict compliance with all health & safety regulations. This included maintaining rigorous hygiene standards behind the bar and ensuring all staff were fully briefed on safety protocols, creating a safe environment for both the team and our guests.
